The Sacrifice

Death and life, tis all the same
Raised to cloud or doused in flame
Pain and wrath, todays sanctuary
Mercy and love, the future's obituary

Left to bleed, to cry, to fear
A smile, a grin, no longer here
Strangulation, your hand I do grip
Suffocation, with your limbs I equip

A hole to dig, a soul to bury
Friends to mame, rest ever weary
Soil to lift and petals do die
Passing of anger, spirits fly

Arms high above me, legs heavy below
Outstretched I cry, no hurt left to sow
Take what is yours, leave what is mine
Empty vessel to free, my thoughts thine

Drink from my essence, feed on my life
Cut out from me feeling, your tongue your knife
Of myself I will give, to keep you sane
This life of yours, mere death in vain

To soak or burn, either your fate
Here I belong, your needs to sate
Upon alter my duty to burn
A sacrifice in me, your lesson to learn
